More Access to Care Your Lovely Child :  Band Excessive Use of Mobile, Stop Them Mentally Fragile.

Times have changed a lot these days.  In fact, technology has made great strides.  The use of mobile phones in the name of forgetting or cheating the child has been increasing since the time of child birth.  This behaviours, which is increasing day by day, gradually leads to 'addiction'.  The result is very harmful.

Just over half of children in the United States — 53 percent — now own a smartphone by the age of 11. And 84 percent of teenagers now have their own phones, immersing themselves in a rich and complex world of experiences that adults sometimes need a lot of decoding to understand.

These stats come from a new, nationally representative survey of media use among children ages 8-18, by Common Sense Media, which has been tracking this since 2003.

The findings highlight the myriad ways young people are using their devices.  The majority of children own a mobile phone by the age of seven, according to a study.

In United Kingdom, mobile phones have become a fundamental part of life for most young people, it indicates. Many admit that they are fearful of being without their phone and more than half sleep with it by their bed.

Overall, children spend about three hours and 20 minutes each day messaging, playing games and being online, the report by Childwise found, down slightly on last year.

Mobiles are the device that youngsters are most likely to use to access the internet, it said.

Researchers said the findings showed the extent to which phones could “dominate children’s lives”.
The report, based on a survey of 2,167 UK five- to 16-year-olds, said 53% of youngsters owned mobile phones by around the age of seven.

It said that by age 11, 90% had their own device, and phone ownership was “almost universal” once children were in secondary school.

Of those questioned, 39% said they could not live without their phone – up from 33% last year. Teenagers aged 15 and 16 were most concerned about being without their phone, the report found.

57% of all the children surveyed said they always slept with their phone by their bed, while the same proportion admitted they did not know what they would do if they lost their device.

And 44% said they would feel uncomfortable if they were somewhere without phone signal, while 42% admitted to being “constantly worried” about running out of charge.

The trend of parents , up to now, children need mobiles to feed them rice.  Many parents are entertaining the leisure time by handing cell phone to their children. Mobile is an instrument that has been slowly sinking the creative mind into addiction of mobile phones. You need a mobile phone to cry.  Mobile is needed to send to school.

Mobile is needed to ask or to celebrate easily.  This is the monstrous form of addiction. Excessive use of mobile has various negative effects on children. Let's find out some bitter facts:

1. Loss of child activity

With the use of mobile, all the activities like going out to play, talking with relatives or acquaintances, making friends, are being destroyed.  The extreme creativity of children is eaten up by all the mobile games, Facebook activities and YouTube videos.  Going to the outdoor environment and playing a game by sweating is like playing a game on a mobile phone.  Adaptation to the environment develops different hormones and helps children to be creative.

2. Health problems due to insufficient sleep

Activities such as using Facebook late at night after school or on holidays, chatting on Messenger for hours, playing games can cause sleep problems.  The regular cycle of the body that goes to bed early and wakes up early is disrupted.  Problems with sleep include headaches, dark circles under the eyes, and inability to pay attention to what you read in the afternoon at school.

3. Mental health problems will come

The use of mobile makes children monotonous.  The child does not pay much attention to the events or other activities that happened to him.  Sitting in a corner of the room and immersing oneself in an artificial thought can cause a child to have a terrible mental problem.  Children can even suffer from depression in the long run when they don't think and do new things.

4. Obesity can increase

The age of a child is the age of high physical development.  Since the regular eating cycle is disturbed by the use of mobile, the habit of overeating at times and going hungry at other times also leads to obesity.

5. Can get addicted quickly

Children's brains are said to be like raw clay.  It can be the same size as it used to be. But mobile addiction can lead to addiction.  This is the age to learn the habits of the elders and put the good things into practice.  But it is difficult for a child to escape from the trap of a series of impractical and harmful mobile phones.  So the chances of falling into a bad habit are higher.

6. Problems in reading

Children who are in a hurry to pick up a mobile phone as soon as they get home from school have a problem with reading. Doing homework, revising school, reading new things are all addicted to mobile phones.  As a result, children are reluctant to bring good results even in exams.

7. Having eye problems

There is a problem of eye fatigue when you look at your mobile phone by flashing it.  You have to use separate glasses to filter the light of the mobile.  And even if you have to use it, you have to use your mobile phone while resting your eyes with your eyelids.  But children do not seem to take such precautions.

8. The habit of getting angry quickly

After getting addicted to mobile, no one wants to give it up in a hurry.  And even when someone asks or has to do a small task, the problem of getting angry and speaking up is seen in children.  Mobile addiction also reduces the ability to control and tolerate anger.

9. To obstruct all other development

Mobile addiction harms not only the mental and physical but also the social and cultural development of children.  When children under 18 years of age have easy access to violent activities, such as sexual immorality, distortion spreads and disrupts the well-organized social structure.

Aren't there good things in mobile?

Of course, in today's world of internet, both the good and the bad can be found through mobile.  But children can't tell right from wrong.  Where parents have a role to play.  Nowadays, technology is a must to learn the things of knowledge.  In order to reap its positive benefits, it needs to be put to good use.

How to get rid of mobile addiction in children?
Trying to get rid of this addiction today and tomorrow can lead to side effects.  In this case where not only the child but also the adult is addicted to it, the following activities can be done to help the child to get rid of this addiction in particular;
1. Allow children to watch mobile for only 1 to 2 hours at a time.  To give prior notice to be involved in other work after this deadline.

2. Keep children away from mobile phones while eating, chatting with adults and when guests come to the house so that they can mix.

3. 1 hour before going to bed at night to keep the child away from the mobile and tell stories to inspire.

4. Parents should be aware of the dangers of using a mobile phone and try to explain it to their children through stories.

5. Parents can take their children away from addiction by buying other toys, drawing materials, singing materials, dancing clothes instead of mobile phones.

6. Encourage children to go out and play in the yard during leisure time and parents should take them to fun places to go for a walk.

7. Parents have to spend a lot of time with their children.  Easy answers to their questions, discussion of school activities, participation in homework, etc. can help to get rid of mobile addiction.

All parents need nothing more than the love of their children.  But their children are becoming more and more unaware of the growing addiction to mobile phones.

It is easy to forget to give a mobile phone to a child to finish their work like a momentary warmth of the mind, but in the long run, the negative impact it will have will go far beyond our thinking.  Parents at home and teachers at school through these two characters must now free the child from this mobile addiction.
